At the heart of The Sun is a seriously good pub! It has bags of character with exposed beams, stone walls & floors and a bar top made from local Brathay slate. The welcome is always warm, likewise the ”Victorian” range which helps to heat the water for the whole place.

The newly created Boat Room usually houses the cat ‘TC’ and honours The Sun’s history with Donald Campbell with a display of unique, original photos from his speed attempts over the years.

Perhaps more importantly we never forget what makes a bar great and that’s down to up to 8 real ales on tap, 4 draft lagers, decent wines & whiskies and somewhere to enjoy them.
