…is the heart of a good pub…and the bar at The Sun is something very special with 8 real ales on handpull, 4 draft lagers, 20+ malts and 30+ wines. It also has a stone bar, floors and walls, exposed beams, a working range in the fireplace that also heats the hot water and a staircase upstairs to a new eating and drinking area open to the roof.

There's so much space up there we put a boat across the beams and, with moving and extending the bar downstairs, we at last have the room and mix of space to welcome discerning guests who appreciate a decent grown-ups pub. We welcome quiet children and well behaved dogs provided they're on leads and don't chase the cat.
